You will get notifications that stereos have been turned off, missing Sims reset, stuck aging Sims found, vehicles removed, etc. Okay, so if you have finished, your game should automatically run the "cleaning" at 3am game time. Once the game is loaded, click on one of your household Sims, and see if the option to command "NRASS" pops up. There should be a window that pops up as you finish loading informing you that there is a mod installed. Load a game, don't worry about saving it if you don't want to, we are just testing out the mod. Your computer should automatically save it to a certain directory (Downloads usually) that you have set, so find out where it is and copy it and paste it back into Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages A new page will load, scroll down and click on NRass_Overwatch_V113.zip. Scroll down to the bottom of the page of this link, and click on one of the two links, depending no which patch version you have. You are going to install Overwatch OPEN IN A NEW TAB. To check if this is correct, go to your /TheSims3 folder and see if there is a folder named Mods.
Trouble-shooting tip: make sure the Framework files were extracted into /TheSims3 folder, not into the Framework folder. If so, you are good to go, if not, start over from the beginning.
Start up the game, and make sure that it is skipping the video intro or "stars" and jumping right into loading the game after a short maxis clip. I have heard this step isn't necessary anymore, however I could not install the mods unless I did this first, so I recommend this. Maker sure those two files are in the correct pathway. You need to follow the instructions on this site OPEN IN NEW TAB completely, carefully, and slowly. Make a backup save of your game(s) by going to Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Saves and copying (please don't cut, baby Jesus will cry) your files and pasting them into a "New Folder" on your desktop. If you wish to install for a lower patch, message me for instructions. It will be a long number, just so long as the first three numbers are 1.67 or greater. Or, if you can't update, figure out your current patch level by opening the Sims 3 launcher and hovering your mouse over the little diamond icon at the bottom left of your launcher that represents the Sims 3. Instructions are for Windows 7, but there ARE instructions for other OS's included in the links.įirst, make sure your game is up to date with the latest patch. If you are confused or stuck, message me. Okay guys, here we go, this looks long but isn't hard at all.
